In year 1993, Great Wall Civil Engineering was the first company to invest in a Backhoe with Hydraulic Breaker in northern Peninsular Malaysia. Since then, we have operated in the demolition business until today. In year 1997, we invested in a Concrete Crusher Excavator, the first in Malaysia, thereby providing fast, low noise and less vibration demolition service.
In year 2005, we became the first contractor in Penang to utilize top down demolition method by lifting a lightweight excavator with concrete crusher onto Two Blocks’ 5-storey Rasa Sayang Hotel at Batu Ferringhi. Although we are a pioneer in the demolition industry, we are not satisfied with our current achievements. We continue to improve our demolition methods and upgrade our technology.
In year 2015, we invested in Penang’s largest Ultra High Reach Demolition Excavator to carry out multi-storey demolition work up to 10 Floors (30m). This demolition method is strongly recommended by the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) in the United Kingdom, as it is cost efficient, fast and safe. In year 2022, we introduced application of anti-dust cannon to JKR demolition project, JKR was impressed with the effectiveness on dust reduction.
Great Wall Civil Engineering is a pioneer in providing demolition services in Malaysia. Being a demolition contractor, we understand that demolition work is highly dangerous. To mitigate this danger, a highly experienced supervisor, reliable machines, safety measures and well-trained operators are essential. Great Wall Civil Engineering not only meets these requirements, but has also completed more than 1000 demolition projects with zero accident rate and without delays to date.
